History at Noon
Dennis McCarthy, Director of the St. Lawrence River Historical Foundation will present a program titled “His Majesty Snow Haldimand (1771-1775) England’s first warship built in the Thousand Islands”. Learn her story and the underwater Archaeology excavation of the Revolutionary War Ship sunk at Carleton Island where she still rests today. This program is free and open to the public. Note: There will be a History Boat Tour to Carleton Island in the evening to tour the site of the wreck.
